Nairobi explores the Giraffe Centre located at Langata, approximately 20 kilometers from the centre of Nairobi, Kenya.

It gives a completely up close and personal interaction where guests have the opportunity to view giraffes as well as feed them. The centre has rescued, hand-reared and released around 500 orphaned giraffes back into the wild since opening in 1979.Young giraffes born at the Centre were translocated to; Soy Sambu Ranch near Lake Elementaita, and Kigio Conservancy near Gilgil and Sergoit ranch in Eldoret while recently they translocated some to Mwea National Game Reserve . Today the Rothschild Giraffe population in Kenya is about 300.

The Nairobi Snake Park was started in January, 1961 to meet a popular attraction and to provide a research facility on reptiles, breeding of snakes. Live snakes were exhibited on experimental basis at the entrance of the Museum in 1958 which later became a popular attraction.When the popularity was noted, a portion of land in front of the Museum and down to the Nairobi River was acquired by the Museum Trustees for the development of Botanical gardens and exhibitions on live snakes.

• National Museum
The Museum was initiated in 1910 by a group of enthusiastic naturalists under the then East Africa and Uganda Natural History Society [currently the East African Natural History Society (EANHS)], who needed a place to keep and preserve their collections of various specimens. The first site for the museum was at the present Nyayo House, which later became too small and a larger building was put up in 1922 where the Nairobi Serena Hotel stands today.

• Kenyatta International Conference
The Kenyatta International Conference Centre, colloquially known as the “KICC”, now known as the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, was commissioned by Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, the 1st President of the Republic of Kenya, in 1967. It was designed by the Norwegian architect Karl Henrik Nøstvik and the construction was carried out by contractors Solel Boneh & Factah. This was done in three phases. Summary of Attractions:

The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is an extension of the Serengeti National Reserve in Tanzania. It is not the largest park in Kenya, but probably the most famous. The terrain is primarily open grassland with clusters of acacia tree. Serengeti is the largest and most famous park in Tanzania, known worldwide for its endless plains, wildebeest-migration, herds of lions and other predators like hyenas, cheetahs and leopards. Crocodiles can be found in the Grumeti River, as well as hippos, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles.

Hot air balloon flight – you may also opt for an early morning memorable balloon flight over the Serengeti plains for a chance to view wildlife from a bird eye position at an extra cost of $450pp.
