Trip highlights: This is an exciting 12 days safari that will take you to venture into some top tourist destinations in Kenya and Tanzania. While in Kenya, you will visit Lake Nakuru National Park, the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park, Tsavo West National Park then cross the border into Tanzania where you will visit the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park and the alkaline Lake Manyara National Park. The trip will start from Nairobi and end in Nairobi. During your safari, you will have a chance to spot plenty of wildlife varying from the big five; the lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and the leopard amongst a host of other different animal species. After your safari in Tanzania you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for flight schedule to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi to wait for your international departure flight. You will travel in a private 4×4 safari vehicle and spend the nights in lodges on full board basis.
Day 1 : Arrival – Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed by our Tour Manager, who will brief you on your Safari and escort you to your vehicle for departure to Lake Nakuru National Park for a memorable game viewing drive and bird watching experience. You will arrive in good time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, you will have your first Game viewing drive in the Park before returning in the evening to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes. It lies to the south of Nakuru, in central Kenya and is protected by a small Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake’s abundance of algae attracts a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lines the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area, as do warthogs, baboons and other large mammals. Black and White rhinos have also been introduced.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After morning breakfast, you will check out to depart to Maasai Mara Game Reserve via Narok arriving in time for check in at Mara Simba Lodge and have lunch. In afternoon, you will proceed for Game drive till dust. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
The Maasai Mara, now The New 7th wonder of the world and 4th preferred tourist destination in the world is a home to wildlife in such abundance and variety that it is difficult to imagine. The most spectacular event of the natural world takes place here; The annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture while being followed on their heels by the predators of the savanna; lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vulture. It hosts over 450 species of animals which include lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephants.

Day3 & 4 & 5 : Maasai Mara National Reserve (3 Full Days)
After breakfast, you will spend three full days within this extensive reserve enjoying game viewing. You will return to the lodge for lunch and brief rest then after embark on evening game viewing drive. During the day, you visit the Maasai village at extra cost of US$ 25per person for a chance to experience their culture, and also you will have an opportunity to spot the big five amongst other types of wildlife found in the plains. At dusk, you will be transferred back to your lodge for rest and meals.
The Maasai Mara National Reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. Maasai Mara is one of the best plains’ game reserve where you can actually encounter a live Discovery Channel, a haven for viewing a congregation of all sorts of animals in a five-mile radius: A pride of lions can be spotted ready to make a run for a gazelle, a cheetah and its cub taking a nap on a rock, a pair of ostriches walking the open stretches of the savannah or a gazelle giving birth. Herds of elephants wallowing at a water pool or a herd of buffaloes feeding, crocodiles down hunting the migrating wildebeest or the migrating gazelles. Other live feeding expeditions may include a herd of hyenas fighting for a hunted meal, the vulture tearing the carcasses and the giraffes galloping as they feed on top leaves of acacia trees.

Day 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast check out of your lodge and depart the Reserve for Amboseli National Park via Nairobi with a lunch stop over at the famous Carnivore restaurant and arrive at Amboseli in the evening. Check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Amboseli is famous for its huge elephant herds. Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro sits in the upper slopes of Amboseli national park. Mt Kilimanjaro’s snow white peaks lie across the border of Tanzania. Seeing Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in the early hours of the morning is quite an experience. For an enthusiastic photographer, taking pictures arising against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain is quite a thrill. Apart from the elephants, buffalos, black rhino and other plain animals are in plenty.

Day 7: Amboseli National Park – Tsavo West National Park
Enjoy an early morning pre breakfast game drive for a chance to explore its vast lands which are home to elephants, black rhino, and buffalo and other animals. For an enthusiastic photographer, taking pictures against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain is quite a thrill. After breakfast, carry packed lunch and depart to Tsavo West for a chance to view wildlife and enjoy birding during the afternoon game drives.
Shetani lava flows found in Tsavo West National Park got its name from molten lava that spewed from the earth 200 years ago. The fiery fury was thought by the local people to be the work of the devil, hence the name ‘Shetani’, which means ‘Devil’ in Swahili. The glorious Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary also has a growing population of the endangered black rhino which was a victim of poaching in the early 1960s. Lake Jipe also offers a memorable experience as it is abundant with aquatic life. Boat rides are a sure way to blow your mind away as you sail through the clear waters watching different species of fish and aquatic animals enjoy the sun’s rays penetrating through the water. Bird watching is also a major activity in the park.

Day 8: Tsavo West National Park – Holili Taveta Border -Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater
Pre- breakfast Game viewing drive, then return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, depart Tsavo west national park and head to Tanzania via the Holili Taveta Border where our representative will meet you for your safari in Tanzania. You will have lunch upon arrival in Arusha at Impala Hotel before departing to Ngorongoro crater as the arrival time in Arusha is about 2.00pm. After lunch, you will immediately depart for Ngorongoro crater where you will rest and have dinner at your lodge.
The first view of the Ngorongoro Crater is breath taking. The huge caldera (collapsed volcano) covering 25 km in size and 600m deep is an amazing site of the crater. The crater is home to Tanzania’s only remaining Black Rhino population. The elephant, Hippo, Zebra, Antelope, Gazelle, and small creatures such as frogs, snakes and serval cats are also common in this beautiful reserve. The Maskat Soda Lake located inside the crater is a great attraction for flamingos and other water birds making the crater a bird watcher’s haven. The crater is also known for its rich history. It is believed that the earliest sign of mankind (the homo-habilis) was spotted here. It is in this crater that hominid footprints are preserved in a volcanic rock 3.6 m years old.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater
After morning breakfast, you will descend to the Crater and spend half days Game viewing drive in this breath taking area that has large number of wild animals such as elephant, black rhino, zebra and other species of animals. You will be carrying packed lunch during this game viewing drive and return to the lodge there after.
Ngorongoro crater – sometimes referred as ‘African Eden’ boasts the finest blend of landscapes, wildlife, people and archaeological sites in Africa. Ngorongoro caldera is 250square kilometer in size and 600 metres deep. The crater alone supports over 20, 000 large animals. The attractions in this crater include the soda lake, Lake Makat, the Lerai forest and the archeological site at Laetoli.

Day 10 : Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park
After early breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and head to Serengeti National Park where you will enjoy fascinating game viewing in this beautiful park, which is home to the big five and numerous plains game. Upon arrival, you will have lunch at the lodge before departing for game drives.
Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. Approximately 70 larger mammals and some 500 avifauna species are found there. With more than two million wildebeest, half a million Thomson’s gazelle, and a quarter of a million zebra, it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The wildebeest and zebra moreover form the star cast of a unique spectacular – the annual Serengeti migration. The Serengeti hosts the largest and longest overland migration in the world. This migration is one of the ten natural travel wonders of the world. Around October, nearly 2 million herbivores travel from the northern hills toward the southern plains, crossing the Mara River, in pursuit of the rains. In April, they then return to the north through the west, once again crossing the Mara River in July into the Maasai Mara Game reserve in Kenya.

Day 11 : Serengeti National Park – Lake Manyara National Park
After Morning breakfast, you will check out and depart to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in and then after proceed with an afternoon game viewing drive till dusk where you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay
Lake Manyara is a shallow, alkaline lake that is part of the Rift Valley wall; the lake is at the base of this dramatic western escarpment giving it a beautiful and serene setting. In addition to this peaceful setting, Lake Manyara’s main attractions are its rich bird life, tree climbing lions and its hippos, which you can see at a closer range than many other places. The Lake also hosts thousands of flamingos at certain times of the year and has diverse vegetation ranging from savannah, to marshes and acacia woodland, enabling a variety of wildlife habitats including butterflies.

Day 12: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha – Nairobi -Departure
After early breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and head to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will have lunch at Impala Hotel before being transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for schedule evening flight to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Upon arrival you be welcome back by the Tour Manager who will bind you Farewell as you await your international flight to your next destination.
