Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi -Tsavo West National Park

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or picked up from your preferred location in the morning in Nairobi, you will be met and warmly received by our tour manager and driver/guide, briefed on your itinerary and thereafter depart to Tsavo West National park which is renowned for its large numbers of elephants, you will game drive en route to Rhino Valley Camp .Check in and have lunch. In the afternoon, another game drive at the park later, dinner and overnight at the Rhino Valley Camp or similar

Day 2: Tsavo West National Park – Tsavo East National Park

After morning breakfast at your camp, you will check out and depart to Tsavo East National Park, arrive in time for check in and rest at Ngulia Safari camp. In the afternoon you will have a game viewing drive till dust where you will return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

 Day 3: Tsavo East National Park – Amboseli National Park

After morning breakfast, you will check out your camp and leave Tsavo East for Amboseli National Park to arrive with a short game drive in time for lunch, check in at Kibo Safari camp have lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you will game viewing drive at the park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains.

 Amboseli is famous for its huge elephant herds. Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro sits in the upper slopes of Amboseli National Park.  Mt Kilimanjaro’s snow white peaks lie across the border of Tanzania. Seeing Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in the early hours of the morning is quite an experience. For an enthusiastic photographer, taking pictures arising against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain is quite a thrill. Apart from the elephants, buffalos, black rhino and other plain animals are in plenty.

Amboseli National Park: This Park is also known as Kilimanjaro’s Royal Court.  The ecosystem mainly consists of savannah grassland spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Maasai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Activities available in this park include game viewing, camping, viewing Mt. Kilimanjaro, bird watching and photography. Attraction sites within the park include the big five, the observation hill which allows an overall view of the whole park especially the swamps and elephants, the swamp below observation hill hosts many elephants, buffaloes, hippos and a variety of water fowls like pelican, Egyptian goose as well as the contemporary Maasai culture and indigenous lifestyle.

Tsavo West National Park:  The park consists of savannah ecosystem comprising of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges. Major wildlife found in the park include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, wild dogs, giraffe, zebra, crocodile, mongoose, hyrax, dik dik, lesser kudu leopards, Buffalos, nocturnal porcupine as well as diverse plant and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler. Major attractions within the park include recent Volcanoes; lava flows and caves with potential for geological studies; cave exploration and hiking the magical Mzima Springs; underwater hippo and fish watching.

Tsavo East National Park: Tsavo East National Park offers a vast and untapped arena of arid bush which is washed by azure and emerald meandering of Galana River. The park is guarded by the limitless lava reaches of Yatta plateau and patrolled by some of the largest elephant herds in Kenya. Major attractions within the park include dust-red elephants wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of palm-shaded Galana River; the beautiful Aruba dam located on the north bank of the seasonal Voi River, visited by thousands of animals and a great game viewing destination; Mudanda Rock, which is a whale –backed Rock tower located above a natural dam, and which acts as a draw to thousands of Elephants; Lugards Falls, named after Captain Lugard, the first proconsul to East Africa, the falls feature bizarrely eroded rocks through which the waters of the Galana River plunge into foaming rapids and crocodile –infested pools. The park is also home to rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, and pods of hippo, crocodile, and waterbucks, Lesser Kudu, Gerenuk and Hirola. Other activities available include camping, trekking and bird watching.

Maasai Mara offers an absolutely unique variety of animals. The reason is that this hilly region is both humid and fertile and is crossed by the rivers Mara and Talek full of crocodiles and hippo and which carry water the whole year around. The banks of the rivers are covered in thick forest which gradually makes way for bush and grassland the abundance of water and excellent availability of food are reasons why the Maasai Mara which in fact is a condition of the Tanzanian Serengeti National park has the greatest population of wild animals in the whole of Africa.

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Meet and greet at your residence within Nairobi or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by “Victoria Safaris Representatives” in the morning. After the briefing, depart to Amboseli arriving at the foothill of the majestic Kilimanjaro in time for lunch at the tented camp. After lunch, depart for afternoon game drives before returning to the tented camp to relax as you wait for dinner to be served.

After breakfast check out of the tented camp and depart to Tsavo West arriving during the late morning hours at the lodge. You will then carry packed picnic lunch and depart for game drives within Tsavo West giving you a chance to spot the red skinned elephants, Mzima Springs, Shetani Lava Flows and also enjoy birding. In the evening be transferred back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Tsavo West National Park

Spend the day enjoying morning and afternoon game drives within the extensive park especially looking out for wildlife and bird life as well as different types of ecosystems found within the park. You will have an opportunity to spot large herds of elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards and other plains game. Other attractions found within this park include Shetani Lava Flows, Mzima Springs as well as a crocodile and hippo observation point.

Day 6: Tsavo West National Park – Tsavo East National Park

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and depart to Tsavo East which is a neighboring park with Tsavo West, and well known for the Man-eaters of Tsavo. Tsavo East is also rich in Hippo, giant crocodiles and varied species of birds. Have lunch at the lodge upon arrival and spend the rest of the day game viewing. Also visit Aruba Dam, Mudanda rock, Lugard’s Falls and the crocodile view point located within the park.

Enjoy early morning pre breakfast game drives for a chance to spot the early predators as they start off the day. This is also the best time to enjoy birding and photograph the rising sun. Tsavo is also one of the scenic parks in Kenya.  After breakfast you will check out of the lodge and depart to Nairobi with lunch en route. Upon arrival at Nairobi you will spend the rest of the day at leisure at your hotel.

Day 9: Nairobi – Maasai Mara

After breakfast, be met at the hotel lobby for transfer to the Mara Reserve driving through the Great Rift Valley for scenic views of the escarpment. After lunch, proceed with afternoon game viewing within the park.

On this day, you will enjoy a half day at Hell’s gate national a park. Hell’s Gate is a small, beautiful park where exploration on foot is permitted. We’ll have close encounters with giraffes, gazelles, impalas, zebras, elands, hartebeests among others. Finally we explore the volcanic forms in the gorges, hot water springs and geysers. Lunch will be on picnic. After lunch, depart Naivasha for the Famous Maasai Mara National Reserve driving on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive in time for evening game viewing drive as you head to check in at Mara Sopa Lodge.

This morning we travel by road to Kenya’s northern frontier. Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy’s zebras and Beisa Oryxes. Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve

Dawn breaks in golden bands as we start our day in the bush by scanning the river from our tent’s veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand. Before the dew is off the grass, we’re off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands. And so the day is spent in alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush and relaxation in our cozy camp.

Day 4: Samburu Game Reserve – Treetops lodge (Aberdare or Mountain tree Lodge)

Our destination today is the Aberdare National Park or Mt. Kenya National Park. We travel overland south from Samburu to The Aberdare Country Club, nestled on the slopes of Mweiga Hill. After lunch and high tea, set off for the Ark tree lodge, located in the forest on mountain slopes of the Aberdare Mountains at 7,000 feet. This outstanding lodge offers high altitude game viewing, including animals that are rarely encountered elsewhere: giant forest hog, bush pig, tree hyrax, large spotted genet, and the elusive bongo.

Wildlife can be observed from different levels – and from outside where you can see, hear and smell everything and inside where you can sit with a cup of tea and stay warm and cozy. You can put in a request to be awakened during the night if your favorite animals show up. A herd of Elephants might be just feet away and if you are lucky, a Leopard or large male Lion might put in an appearance.

Day 5: Tree Lodge – Nakuru National Park

Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch an exciting game run is planned for the afternoon. The game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renowned and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the white Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve

This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run.

The Mara Game Reserve-one of the greatest wildernesses of the world large mammals is varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park’s are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles.

Spend a full day within Maasai Mara viewing wildlife across this game studded reserve. You will also look out for the big five and other plains game; lunch shall be served at the lodge.  Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara

Pick up from airport by our tour manager then depart for Masai Mara in the through the Great Rift Valley arriving at the Masai Mara in time for lunch. Then proceed for your afternoon game drive.

The Masai Mara National Reserve as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kenya covers an area of over 1,500 sq. km. it is located in the Great Rift valley in an open primarily grassland where wildlife tends to be most concentrated on the reserves western escarpment. The swampy land provides more access to water and less access to tourists. The Eastern end is closest to Nairobi and hence easier to access by tourists.

Spend the whole day in Masai Mara gamed Reserve which is commonly known for the ‘big five’. Early morning game drive before breakfast, after breakfast proceed to the next game drive till lunch time. Later, there will be afternoon game drive.

The wildebeests are the most dominant inhabitants of the Masai Mara. Their numbers are estimated in the millions. Day 4: Mara – Nakuru

After breakfast check out then proceed to Lake Nakuru Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive where you stand a chance to see some of the most endangered species like white rhino and Rothschild giraffe among others.

Lake Nakuru is a shallow strongly alkaline lake set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grasslands alternating with rocky cliffs and outcrops, stretches of acacia woodland and rocky hillsides covered with a Euphorbia forest.

The lakes catchment is bounded by the Menengai crater to the North, the Bahati hills to the north east, the lion hill ranges to the east, eburu crater to the south and the mau escarpment to the west. Three rivers, the Njoro, makalia and the Enderit drain into the lake.

Day 5: Nakuru – Nairobi.

Pre-breakfast game drive then after breakfast you go for another game drive until afternoon after that we depart for Nairobi for Dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Panafric hotel.

After breakfast, you will go for an Excursion for the city tour then later in the day you will a have a transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

On this day, you may start by going for hot air balloon flight in the early morning as an optional adventure. Morning and afternoon game viewing inside the Park for full day in search for wild game black manned lion for which Mara is famous for, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, grants gazelle, even the rare rhino might come out of the thicket for you, hyenas are plentiful, Extend your drive to the hippo point where schools of hippo submerge on the approach of vehicles only to surface seconds later to shot and gamble their displeasure as the crocodiles sunbathe on the river banks mouths agape.

Amboseli is famous for its huge elephant herds. Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro sits in the upper slopes of Amboseli National Park. Mt Kilimanjaro’s snow white peaks lie across the border of Tanzania. Seeing Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in the early hours of the morning is quite an experience. For an enthusiastic photographer, taking pictures arising against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain is quite a thrill. Apart from the elephants, buffalos, black rhino and other plain animals are in plenty.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park

Pre breakfast game drive then after breakfast, spend your time with the parks elephants and get to visit the Masai villages. The park is famous for the biggest elephants.

Amboseli national Park embodies five main wildlife habitats (open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bushes country, swamps and marshlands) and covers part of a Pleistocene lake basin, now dry. Within this basin is a temporary lake, Lake Amboseli, which flood during years of heavy rainfall. Amboseli is famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty -and the landscape is dominated by the towering Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 7: Amboseli – Nairobi – Departure

After morning breakfast, check out and drive to the shoulders of Mt. Kenya arriving at the Ark lodge for lunch. After lunch, sit at the Ark Lodge balcony and you view game that often visits the floodlit waterhole and salt-lick e.g. elephants, rhino, buffalo and giant forest hog.

 Day 4: Aberdare National Park – Samburu National Reserve

After morning, check out and be driven to Samburu National Reservecrossing the Equator and driving through changing terrain to the rugged semi-desert region in the northern Kenya. Though harsh, it is blessed with species rarely found elsewhere. You will arrive in time for lunch at lodge. In the afternoon, you will game drive to search for the stars of Samburu.

Day 5: Samburu National Reserve

See braving lions on the grass, Cheetah, Leopards among plenty of other plains game. (Optional visits to Samburu villages).

Day 6: Samburu National Reserve – Nyahururu Thompson’s Fall – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast with picnic lunch leave Samburu for Isiolo and continue to Nyahururu where you will have a stop over at the Thomson’s falls before you proceed to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for game drive where you will have a chance to see large flocks of flamingos which transforms the shores of Lake Nakuru pink. You will also see rhino, giraffe, buffalo, zebra among other species. Proceed to Lake Nakuru Flamingo Hill Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes. It lies to the south of Nakuru, in central Kenya and is protected by a small Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake’s abundance of algae attracts a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lines the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area, as do warthogs, baboons and other large mammals. Black and White rhinos have also been introduced.

 Day 7: Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Bogoria National Reserve – Lake Baringo

After breakfast, depart for Lake Bogoria where you will visit the hot geysers and have lunch. Explore the lake Bogoria, this is a highly concentrated lake with flamingoes and you will be able to see the hot springs. After exploring this lake, proceed to Lake Baringo for optional boat rides followed by dinner and overnight at Soi Safari Lodge or similar

Day 8: Lake Baringo – Lake Naivasha

Day 12: Amboseli National Park -Tsavo West National Park

Pre-breakfast game viewing drive in further search of animals and the better chances to see the Mount Kilimanjaro, after breakfast, check out and depart for Tsavo West with a game viewing drive en-route arriving in time for check in and lunch at Kilaguni Serena lodge or similar. In the afternoon, you will have a game viewing drive, with a visit of the rhino Sanctuary whereby if you are lucky you might see the “shy” rhino. Other animals likely to be seen are Elephants, Lion, zebra, Buffalo, warthog, Antelopes etc. There exists a large variety of Bird species, migratory and local at the Tsavo West.

DSC09334 Day 13: Tsavo West National Park – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

Pre and after breakfast game drive looking for animals, later on game drive en route as you depart Tsavo West Park, in the morning and drive to Mzima springs game en route to voyager tented camp for lunch then proceed through Mwakitau gate to Taita wildlife game sanctuary. Check-in at Sarova Salt Lick game lodge and begin game drive in the Taita Wildlife Sanctuary. Afternoon game viewing drive in the Taita Hills Wildlife sanctuary – Dinner and overnight will be at Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge is complex of roundavels sitting on stilts over a series of water holes. The two-storey towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs, are connected by open-air-bridges, creating an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. You can see animals as they come to drink at the waterholes and in all directions because it offers spectacular open views.

Day 14: Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary – Tsavo East National Park.

Pre and after breakfast game drive looking for animals, later on game drive en route as you leave the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, and drive to Tsavo East entering the park through Voi Gate. Embark on a game drive looking for animals like herds of Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalo, Lion, Cheetah, Zebra, Impala, and Monkey among many others. Check in at Voi Safari Lodge and serve lunch. After lunch and a short rest, proceed for an afternoon game drive till late in the evening where you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Tsavo East National Park – Mombasa – Watamu

Pre and after breakfast game drive looking for animals, you will visit the Lugard’s falls, Later on game drive en route as you leave the Tsavo East for a transfer to Watamu via Mombasa where you will stop for lunch. On arrival in Watamu, you will be transferred to your preferred location for drop off.
