Trip Highlights: This is an exciting 4 days best of Kenya budget wilderness private safari into some of the best wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. This trip will start at from your preferred destination in Nairobi, taking you through to Tsavo West National Park, Tsavo East and finally to Amboseli National Park. You will have a chance to see plenty of wildlife varying from Kenya’s big five; the lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and the leopard amongst a host of other different animal species. You will travel in a private tour van safari vehicle and stay in safari camps on full board while on this safari.

 Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi -Tsavo West National Park

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or picked up from your preferred location in the morning in Nairobi, you will be met and warmly received by our tour manager and driver/guide, briefed on your itinerary and thereafter depart to Tsavo West National park which is renowned for its large numbers of elephants, you will game drive en route to Rhino Valley Camp .Check in and have lunch. In the afternoon, another game drive at the park later, dinner and overnight at the Rhino Valley Camp or similar

DSC03419Day 2: Tsavo West National Park – Tsavo East National Park

After morning breakfast at your camp, you will check out and depart to Tsavo East National Park, arrive in time for check in and rest at Ngulia Safari camp. In the afternoon you will have a game viewing drive till dust where you will return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

 Day 3: Tsavo East National Park – Amboseli National Park

After morning breakfast, you will check out your camp and leave Tsavo East for Amboseli National Park to arrive with a short game drive in time for lunch, check in at Kibo Safari camp have lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you will game viewing drive at the park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains.

 Amboseli is famous for its huge elephant herds. Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro sits in the upper slopes of Amboseli National Park.  Mt Kilimanjaro’s snow white peaks lie across the border of Tanzania. Seeing Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in the early hours of the morning is quite an experience. For an enthusiastic photographer, taking pictures arising against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain is quite a thrill. Apart from the elephants, buffalos, black rhino and other plain animals are in plenty.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi

Early morning break fast, have an en-route game viewing drive as you leave Amboseli national park for Nairobi. You will arrive in time for lunch at a Nairobi restaurant. After the lunch, drop off will be at your preferred location.

8 Days and 7 Nights Best of Cycling & Walking Wilderness Private Adventure

Highlights: This is a Biking Safari which takes you into the Kenya’s wilderness biking.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi

Upon your arrival in Nairobi, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our representative and the rest of the team which includes the tour driver/guide. After a short briefing, you will be transferred to your Hotel for check in, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Nairobi – Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you will depart from the hotel and cycle to Lake Naivasha region. In this region you will enjoy cycling, game watching and bird watching. Upon arrival you will check in to your lodge and have lunch before you take a tour around the lake as well as other interesting places on your bike. In the evening you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake located in Naivasha town, abundant in a diversity of over 400 species of bird life. The lake is unique as it has two other lakes in its vicinity; lakes Oloide and Sonachi (which is a crater lake). There is also a game sanctuary that nears this lake. Joy Adamson, the author of ‘born free’, ‘living free’, and ‘died free’, used to live on the shores of the lake in the mid 1960’s. There is frequently an occurrence of sudden storms at the lake. These storms gave the lake its name, Naiposha, a local Maasai word meaning sudden storms.

DSC09173Day 3: Lake Naivasha – Hell’s Gate National Park

Depart Lake Naivasha for Hell’s Gate where you will cycle through the sinuous, rocky canyons among wandering giraffe and take a stab at rappelling down some of the canyon walls. You will then hike through the little-known Hell’s Gate Gorge with its colourful layers of rocks and sandy river beds. Enjoy a quick picnic lunch en route and in the evening return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Hell’s Gate National Park – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and cycle to Lake Nakuru National Park for a fantastic game viewing and bird watching adventure. This beautiful park is home to numerous bird life including millions of pink flamingos, as well as the endangered black rhino and white rhino. Other plains games which dominate this park include giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, gazelles, zebra, and buffalo amongst others. Enjoy packed picnic lunch and in the evening, retire at Lake Nakuru Sarova Lion Hill lodge located within the park or similar.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park – Maasai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and depart Lake Nakuru and drive further towards the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Enjoying the numerous varieties of flora and fauna on the way, you will arrive at your Mara Sopa lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will set out for cycling in the surrounding valleys and hills where game can often be seen. In the evening you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 & 7: Maasai Mara Game Reserve (Two Full Days)

After breakfast you will enjoy two full days game drive within the reserve. There are some parts within the park where cycling is not allowed, so most of the time you will be enjoying game drives while in your vehicle. You will have picnic lunch at the Hippo point picnic site which is a great picnic spot for campers and visitors of the Reserve. You will have an opportunity to spot the big five, plenty of plains game as well as numerous bird species. If you visit between July and October, you will also witness the annual wildebeest migration. In the evening you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi – Departure

After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and cycle back to Nairobi with lunch break at Narok Town. You may opt to proceed to Nairobi on your bike or in the vehicle. Upon arrival you will be taken for farewell dinner at famous Carnivore Restaurant before being transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound international flight to your next destination.
