This is a 9 days best of Kenya Wilderness Adventure Private Safari into some of the best wildlife sanctuaries as highlighted above This trip will start upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, taking you through the panoramic Rift Valley; the only earth feature observable from space, into Maasai Mara Game Reserve, scene of the greatest spectacle of the animal kingdom and the annual migration of thousands of wildebeest and the pink lake of Lake Nakuru National Park. You will be able to see plenty of wildlife varying from Kenya’s big five; the lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and the leopard amongst a host of other different animal species. You will travel in a private tour van safari vehicle and stay in lodges on full board basis while on this safari and bed & breakfast upon arrival in Nairobi.

Detailed Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our tour manager and Driver/guide who will warmly welcome you, brief you on your safari then thereafter transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi – Southern Sun Mayfair Hotel for freshening up. You will be met again with your safari driver for Nairobi Tour Visit Uhuru Park, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta Mausoleum, August 7 Memorial Park, Kenya National Archives, Kenyatta International Conference Center and also visit the Nairobi Animal Orphanage where you will get a chance to play with a cheetah. Enroute have Traditional Kenyan Lunch at a very good Local Restaurant after the tour .Drop back at hotel. Evening pick up from hotel again for Nairobi by night tour. Have a Traditional East African Dinner Wash down your dinner with a nightcap at a very good local bar in Nairobi’s Central Business District with Drinks. Finally, return to hotel or similar for overnight stay

Day 2: Nairobi- L. Nakuru

After morning breakfast in your hotel, you will check out and be driven to Visit Lake Nakuru National Park, New Hope Children’s Centre an orphanage that assists the less fortunate Kenyan children, evening game drive to see the wildlife around the lake. Look out for members of the Big Five, as well as both the black and white rhinos, for which the park is famous. Enroute Lunch at a very good local restaurant.

Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes. It lies to the south of Nakuru, in central Kenya and is protected by a small Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake’s abundance of algae attracts a vast quantity of flamingos that famously lines the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area, as do warthogs, baboons and other large mammals. Black and White rhinos have also been introduced.

After breakfast at hotel check out. Pick up from hotel. Visit nearby village for a walking tour that showcases the cultural aspects of village life in Kenya. Meet friendly locals, browse the shops and learn about day-to-day life in the village. Then journey west to visit Lake Naivasha. Enroute Lunch at a very good local restaurant.

Day 4: L.Naivasha- Hell’s Gate National Park.

After breakfast at hotel pick up from hotel for visiting Hell’s Gate National Park. Then proceed for a boat ride & a guided walk around nearby Crater Lake Game Sanctuary – a lake on the site of a dormant volcano. Enroute Lunch at a very good local restaurant.

Day 5: Hell’s Gate National Park- Great Rift Valley -Loita Hills

After breakfast at hotel check out. Pick up from hotel. Visit town of Naivasha to do some shopping. Then journey South via Great Rift Valley to Loita Hills. Meet your Masai hosts at a neighboring village. See a traditional Masai warrior dance. Enroute Lunch at a very good local restaurant.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve, now the New 7th wonder of the world and 4th most preferred tourist destination in the world is a home to wildlife in such abundance and variety that it is difficult to imagine. The most spectacular event of the natural world takes place here; The annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture while being followed on their heels by the predators of the savanna; lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vulture. It hosts over 450 species of animals which include lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephants.

Day 6: Maasai Mara (Migration of Wildebeest)

After breakfast at hotel check out. Pick up from hotel. Journey southwest to the Masai Mara a vast nature reserve that’s home to Africa’s Big Five as well as millions of wild beast during the rainy season’s Great Migration. Pass along the floor of the Great Rift Valley and through the homelands of the Masai tribes people. Learn all about them from your guide as you travel. Then head out on a game drive to explore the open plains and woodlands that comprise the world-famous park. Proceed to Mara River and look out for crocodiles and hippos. Enroute Lunch at a very good local restaurant.

The wildebeests are the most dominant inhabitants of the Maasai Mara. Their numbers are estimated in millions. The great migration starts in July each year when well over one million wildebeest along with large numbers of Thompson’s gazelles, zebra and other herbivores migrate from the Serengeti plains in Tanzania to fresh pastures in the north and then back south again in October.

Day 7: Maasai Mara – Nairobi

Rise before dawn pick up from hotel and travel to the outskirts of the camp. Experience a hot-air balloon ride over the Masai Mara. After touchdown drop back at hotel for breakfast. After breakfast check out. Pick up from hotel. Proceed to Nairobi. Enroute Lunch at a very good local restaurant.

Day 8: Nairobi

After breakfast pick up from hotel. Visit Nairobi National Park on a game drive vehicle, Karen Blix Museum learn about Karen Blixen herself – author of the award-winning ‘Out of Africa’ novel & Oscar-winning film, Langata Giraffe Centre Tour to see endangered Rothschild Giraffes run by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. Enjoy a traditional Kenyan lunch at a very good restaurant near the park.

Day 9: Nairobi – Departure

Early morning after breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked by our driver to take you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your schedule outbound flight to your next destination.
