6 Days and 5 Nights, Best of Kenya Wheelchair Access Family Safari

(Nairobi – Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru National Park- Masai Mara National Reserve, Nairobi)

 Trip Highlights: This is a 6 days best of Kenya Disable Wilderness Private Safari into some of the best Kenya wildlife sanctuaries as highlighted above and visit the Orphanages and schools. This trip will start at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport upon your arrival. During your safari you will be able to see plenty of wildlife varying from Kenya’s big five; the lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and the leopard among a host of other different animal species. You will stay in best Wheelchair Access friendly lodges, hotels and tented camps during this safari with meals on full board basis. You will use a Converted private 4×4 Land Cruiser safari vehicle for wheelchair Access with wide widows for game viewing.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 18.05 by Swiss Airlines flight No. LX0292. You will be met by our Tour Manager and Driver/Guide who will warmly welcome you, brief you on your safari then thereafter transfer you to your hotel for meals and overnight stay.

Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at PanAfric Hotel – Nairobi

Day 2: Nairobi – Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, travel to Lake Naivasha and take a boat ride on this lake seeing wildlife on the Crescent Island and then visiting the Hell’s gate National Park and Kongoni Game Reserve. Lunch will be served at the Naivasha Sopa Lodge. After lunch, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park to arrive in time for afternoon game drive at the Pink Lake referred so for its thousands of pink flamingos and other bird-life-it’s a Bird watchers paradise. It has a surprisingly number of animals; all the “big five” except the elephant can be seen here.

DSC00714Day 3: Lake Nakuru-Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Early morning game viewing at the Pink ,it is a rhino sanctuary and a bird watchers paradise, look for warthogs and water bucks as you leave the Park. Have Breakfast at the tented camp and thereafter, depart for Maasai Mara crossing the Loita plains, see red clad Maasai warriors tend their multi-coloured herds amongst plains game.  You will Arrive Mara in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the local primary school, and then return to the Game Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Morning and afternoon game viewing inside the Park for two days in search for wild game black manned lion for which Mara is famous for, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, grants gazelle, even the rare rhino might come out of the thicket for you, hyenas are plentiful, Extend your drive to the hippo point where schools of hippo submerge on the approach of vehicles only to surface seconds later to shot and gamble their displeasure as the crocodiles sunbathe on the river banks mouths agape. You will have optional visit to the Maasai villages for an insight to their culture and visit the local Schools.

Optional Activity

Take the opportunity to fly over the Mara in a Hot air Balloon provided at extra cost, if you can physically and certified by the Balloon Flight Pilot. The balloon package includes a champagne breakfast in the wild! If you can spare the money, viewing abundant game afloat a balloon is an unforgettable experience.

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Park – Nairobi

After morning breakfast at the camp, check out and depart for Nairobi. Lunch will be served at Narok town Hotel. You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and be transferred to your hotel for rest, Dinner and Overnight.

Day 6: Nairobi City Tour – Departure

On this day, after morning breakfast, you will visit the Nairobi City touring; the Animal orphanage, The safari walk, The Baby elephant orphanage – Sheldrick, and the Giraffe Centre before going for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. After lunch, you will then transfer to the Airport for your departure flight at 16.05 by South African Airways – Flight No. SA0185.
